Maximising on the growing trend for interactive learning, Arcstream AV have supplied and installed a number of interactive floors for SEN Schools across the country.
Interactive learning has a particularly profound effect on children with special educational needs, who require a range of different stimuli to engage in learning activities and promote interpersonal communication.
The interactive floor comprises a projector that displays different themes onto the floor, which students can interact with. Games include playing virtual sports such as football or rugby, in which the virtual ball moves across the pitch when played with; an ocean bed with rippling water and moving shoals of fish; and themes that can be customised to suit students individual learning syllabus. A linked computer and software programme creates, saves and adapts the themes and games.
The interactive floors have been met with enthusiasm from educators and students alike, having a positive effect on educating by making learning fun, engaging and educational.
