How do you interest the kids of today in a career in the automotive industry? We like to think we may have inspired one or two of them through the installation we created with Fusion events at Kidzania in London’s Westfield shopping centre.
Kidzania is an environment where children can play whilst discovering a world of career opportunities. And this particular immersive bespoke AV solution was for Renault.
Children aged 4 - 14 became Renault mechanics, changing tyres in the pit lane on a scale model E.dams-Renault Formula E car. This generated great excitement with the task conducted under race conditions, with times added to a leader board with prizes awarded to the speediest fitters.
A futuristically designed touch screen interface, built into bespoke low tables, comprised two Multi-taction screens. Here the kids could interact with different parts of a Renault F1 car, learning about each component’s functionality and how they all fitted together. The second table was educating them about. Renault’s Zero Emission Engineering Centre.
This project was a great example of using technology to inform and educate in a futuristic and exciting way, whilst remaining child friendly
